Message from the President

Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) was established in 1922 as Kansai Technical College with the support of Osaka City, later becoming a four- yearuniversity in 1949.
Since then we have seen over 88,000 students graduate from the university. OIT is currently composed of three faculties and their respective graduate schools: the Faculties of Engineering, Information Science & Technology, and Intellectual Property.
We offer our students support and advice to fully develop their individual abilities in accordance with their chosen career as well as specialized courses in a variety of fields. To ensure safe and prosperous future human societies, we also encourage our students to become flexible enough to respond to global problems, such as depletion of natural resources and environmental change.
