The mission of the Department of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineering (EICE) is to implement excellence in the teaching and research of cutting-edge technologies that are based on the development of electrical engineering. Needless to say, the creation of an innovative future crucially depends on electronics technology, and the information and communication technologies that electronics support will be vital in many 21st century growth areas. EICE graduates who can design future technologies will be highly sought after by a wide range of industry and business enterprises. To achieve this, our well-organized curriculum starts with fundamental science and proceeds to current application technologies.
Subjects are categorized into two principal areas:electronics, and information and communications technologies. Students study systematically and also explore interdisciplinary subjects so that they acquire the knowledge and skills that best meet their own interests. Motivated students are strongly encouraged to enroll in our graduate school and work toward an advanced degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, to further their mastery of advanced courses in specialized areas.
