On May 28, ten students from Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI), our partner institution, returned to Thailand after their completion of the training program held in Setsunan University and OIT from April 18 to May 26.
For the first three weeks, they took a Japanese language course in Setsunan University. After that, they continued to take a Japanese class there once a week and participated in lectures and exercises about Japanese manufacturing for three more weeks in OIT. During their study in OIT, they also participated in a few plant tours to observe on-site Japanese manufacturing practices such as “3S” and “Kaizen”.
We hope that what they learned from this training program would serve as a foundation for them to promote industrial development in Thailand and to become a bridge between the two countries in the future.
