From August 15 to 20, an International Project-Based Learning (iPBL) program was held at Kookmin University (KMU). 7 KMU students and 7 OIT Department of Architecture students participated in the program.
The program was held under the theme of 'Sustainable Design Workshop', students designed an environmentally conscious building as a visiting center including a lounge in the site of KMU.
To implement the project, several working teams consisting of students from both universities were organized. Site confirmations and simulations of light and wind flow were carried out. In the final presentation as an idea competition, each team presented its design proposal. Through the series of group works, both universities' students deepened engagement. On the last day, OIT students had a study tour to visit famous building in Seoul with KMU students, which was a valuable experience to look around the works of the world renowned architects.
