In 2017, same as in the past several years, OIT is accepting interns from IAESTE.
IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) is an international organization mediating Science students to obtain internship experience abroad. OIT is currently a supporting member of IAESTE Japan.
Both of the two interns in OIT in 2017 are from Poland. The first intern, Mr. Krzysztof Wrzesniak was assigned to the laboratory of Prof. Nobuhisa Watanabe, Department of Environmental Engineering, to have his research on Waste Analysis under supervision of from June 30 to August 31. He also worked together and deepened engagement with his OIT colleagues in various activities such as exhibition of the lab during OIT open days.
The second intern, Mr. Jacek Stemplewski is currently conducting his research on Methane Fermentation of Food Waste under supervision of Assoc. Prof. Yasunori Kosaki, scheduled from October 2 to November 25.
OIT has started to accept IAESTE interns since 2014 to provide them with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. OIT students are also encouraged to join IAESTE and gain valuable experience in internship abroad.
