OIT is accepting two exchange students from Universität der Bundeswehr München (UniBwM), Germany.

The first student, Mr. Roman Hehl, will conduct his research on “a navigation method based on environment understanding using wearable monocular camera for visually impaired persons” until July under supervision of Dr. Mutsuo Sano, Department of Media Science in Hirakata Campus.

The second student, Mr. Bernhard Prinz zur Lippe, will carry out his research on “design and control of an artificial hand” until September under supervision of Dr. Hironari Taniguchi, Department of Robotics in Umeda Campus. He practices judo in Omiya Campus on weekends.

OIT accepted exchange students from UniBwM in 2016 and 2017. It is expected that further collaboration will be realized between the two universities in near future.
