


OIT is accepting three exchange students from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University (SIIT), Thailand for about two months from June, 2019.
The first student, Mr. Thanapon Thanapongsak, will do his research on “coding to make control systems for a drone” under supervision of Dr. Hiroshi Oku, Department of Electronics and Information System Engineering in Omiya Campus.
The second student, Ms. Natnapin Pongchaisirikul, will conduct her research on “development of a motor-less power assist device for indirect hot-line work applying mechanical weight compensation mechanism” under supervision of Dr. Nakayama Takayuki, Department of System Design in Umeda Campus.
The third student, Ms. Chutimon Cherdpongtagit, will carry out her research on “real-time human sensing with RGB-Camera or Depth Camera” under supervision of Dr. Yoshiyuki Kamakura, Department of Information Systems in Hirakata Campus.
Since SIIT and OIT concluded the MOU in 2009, the relationship of the two institutes has been cultivated through student exchanges and iPBL programs.
