Department of Civil Engineering and Urban Design has accepted an IAESTE intern, Mr. Ashwin Nomi from Purdue University in the United States from June 5th. He will conduct his research on the identification of flood-prone sedimentary features and the Development of tsunami disaster mitigation facilities using natural forces for two months under the supervision of Associate Prof. Ryoukei Azuma at the Hydraulic Disaster Engineering Laboratory.

IAESTE (The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) is an international organization mediating science students to obtain internship experience abroad.

OIT has IAESTE interns since 2014 to provide them with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. OIT students are also encouraged to join IAESTE and gain valuable experience in internships abroad.
