Medical Engineering Research Center

Medical Engineering Research Center

The Medical Engineering Research Center promotes next generation research in the area of combined medicine and engineering. Based on inter-collegiate cooperation with Kansai Medical University, the Major in Biomedical Engineering plays the central role within the Graduate Schools of Engineering, and Information Science and Technology.

Environmental Solution Center

The Center supports development of new technology that contributes toward the sustainable development of urban areas by bringing together the vast basic technology resources of large enterprises in the areas of environmental preservation and environmental load reduction through recycling, as well as the original technologies of venture and regional businesses.

Nanomaterials Microdevices Research Center

Nanomaterials microdevices research center (NMRC) was established in 2006. It provides the newest facilities for research and education in elds from new materials such as semiconductors, superconductors, and new functional ceramics to micromachine and bioelectronics.

Bio-Venture Center

Our primary goal is to develop a micro robot that can be embedded or can move within a living organ and a blood vessel. Towards this goal we are focusing to create and develop a "material" that combines the functions of a sensor and actuator which can be used in such robots.

Center for Monodzukuri Management

The Center for Monodzukuri Management (CMM), together with the cooperation of the Kansai Productivity Center, promotes research and education of next generation knowledge and skills in the manufacture and production of goods with the Department of Technology Management playing a center role.

Human Robotics R&D Center

Here, research and development is focused on robots of the future, ones that can exist in symbiosis with humans in the truest sense by making their lives safe and comfortable. By mobilizing all the research laboratories of the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, and through collaborative research with other universities and enterprises, we seek to develop robots that can support human activities in a smooth and efficient manner.

Three-dimensional Image Analysis Software R&D Center

At this Center, several kinds of 3D image analysis software have been developed using image processing technology and computer graphics. One can reconstruct the three dimensional structures of organisms by using these software, that is usually very difficult to visualize micro-organisms photographed through a high voltage electron microscope.

Structural Research Center

Structural Research Center

The Structural Research Center (SRC) is one of only a few large-scale test facilities of this kind in Japan. Equipped with facilities and equipment necessary to conduct various load, fatigue, and material tests by using both to-scale and scaled down structural models, it gauges the safety and reliability of large-scale structures. The SRC also has the newest re test facilities, where re performance of structural members can be tested.

Yodogawa Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Center

Yodogawa Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Center

The Yodogawa ESD Center was established in March 2006. The aim of the center is to help consolidating ESD in our educational programs for the engineers and a citizenry to understand and perform the human and environmental symbiosys. Its educational and regional collaboration programs were chosen as one of a GP project of the MEXT; Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Technology, in 2006, concerning "Developing Research and Education Programs on ESD".

Monozukuri Center

Monozukuri Center

In this practical educational center, students can experience firsthand the significance, the depth, the broadness and the pleasure of engineering through simulated manufacturing. The objective of this facility is to train future core engineers who have a keen awareness of the harmonious life cultivated through actual experiences of manufacturing, practical learning and being useful.
