About Admission
Examination Content
Our entrance examination consists of the produced documents examination, preparing a short essay and an interview to test the abilities required as a premise of the study at our School which include judgment, analytical skills and expression skills. No prior knowledge about IP is required but we want students who is willing to learn IP in a serious manner.

Application Qualification
General Entrance Examination
A person who falls under any of the following items;
- a person graduated from a university in Japan or scheduled to graduate by March 2016
- a person granted a bachelor’s degree by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation or scheduled to be granted by March 2016
- a person completed 16 years education in foreign country or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person completed 16 years education in Japan by correspondent education of a school of foreign country or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person completed a course of the foreign school designated in Japan to be equivalent to a foreign university or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person completed a specialized course of the designated special vocational school or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person completed a university in the old Japanese school system
- a person completed education of the Defense Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the Meteorological College or a university of each Ministry of Japan or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person admitted by our Graduate School of IP through an individual examination and reached the age 22 or to reach by March 2016;
Working Person Entrance Examination
A person who falls under any of the following items;
- a person graduated from a university in Japan
- a person granted a bachelor's degree by the National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation
- a person completed 16 years education in a foreign country
- a person completed 16 years education in Japan by correspondent education of a school of foreign country
- a person completed a course of the foreign school designated in Japan to be equivalent to a foreign university or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person completed a specialized course of the designated special vocational school
- a person completed a university in the old Japanese school system
- a person completed education of the Defense Academy, the Coast Guard Academy, the Meteorological College or a university of each Ministry of Japan
- a person admitted by our Graduate School of Intellectual Property through an individual examination and reached the age 22 or to reach by March 2016;
Foreign Student Entrance Examination
Foreign person with Japanese language skills who falls under any of the following items;
- a person completed 16 years education in a foreign country or scheduled to complete by March 2016
- a person admitted by our Graduate School to have equivalent abilities to the above
