On December 6, Osaka Institute of Technology (OIT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the development of cooperation and exchange in education and research and an Agreement on the promotion of student exchange with Ozyegin University (Özyeğin University, OzU) in Istanbul, Turkey.

Ozyegin University is a private university founded in 2007 by Hüsnü Özyeğin, a billionaire businessman in Turkey. Starting with the Faculty of Business, the university now has seven faculties including Engineering, Social Sciences, Aviation and Aeronautical Sciences, Law, Architecture and Design, and Applied Sciences, three graduate schools, and a language school. All classes are conducted in English, and students who do not have the standard language proficiency at the time of admission study English intensively at School of Languages (ScOLa). It has gained popularity as an innovative university and is ranked 251-300th in THE Young University Rankings 2023.

In Japan, Ozyegin University has exchange agreements with Yokohama National University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), and OIT is the third to do so.

The student exchange agreements cover the fields of computer science, mechanical engineering, and civil engineering. There are six well-equipped full-service dormitories, and many international students are accepted. We look forward to further development of the exchange in the near future.
