On April 4, the "Admission Ceremony for the Class of 2024" was held at the Omiya Campus General Gymnasium. This year, following the end of COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held at the Omiya Campus for the first time in five years, with a total of 2,129 new students making a fresh start.

In his address, President Susumu Inoue said, "What is required of you is an attitude of thinking, learning, and acting toward the realization of the dreams and goals you have set for yourselves. It can be said that the period of a university student's life is to think about what knowledge and abilities to acquire for the future and how to act in order to achieve them. Students are sometimes required to work together with other students to achieve their goals and produce results. Extracurricular activities such as club activities and project activities provide an excellent opportunity for students to acquire a variety of skills that are difficult to acquire in the classroom alone, and which will be required when they leave for the world. I encourage you to think about actively participating in these activities," he said.
He also told the new graduate school students, "It is important to look at the entire research field you are involved in and understand the significance and positioning of your own research, as well as to look at the surrounding areas. In closing, he sent the following message: "There is no limit to growth. I hope you will achieve growth that exceeds 'OVER THE LIMIT' when you graduate.”
