From June 2 to 9, 2016, an International Project-Based Learning (iPBL) program was held by OIT Faculty of Information Science and Technology in Hirakata campus. Ten Students from Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology of Thammasat University (SIIT), Thailand, and Ten students from OIT joined the program. It was the first time for the Faculty as a host to hold an iPBL program with SIIT.

The iPBL theme was “Image Processing: Image Tamper Detection and Recovery using Digital Watermarks”. The students were divided into five groups, each of which had two SIIT students and two OIT students. The group members in each group engaged in experimentations and discussions on how to improve their computer programs for image tamper detection and recovery, and their outcomes were shared to the others in the last presentation session.

SIIT is established in 1992 as a semi-autonomous institute in Thammasat University. Since SIIT and OIT concluded the MOU in 2009, the relationship of the two institutes has been cultivated through implementation of student exchanges and iPBL programs.
