From August 28 to September 3, an International Project-Based Learning (iPBL) program was held at Rangsit campus of Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology of Thammasat University (SIIT). It was the 3rd time for SIIT and OIT to hold an iPBL program in that campus. This year, ten students from SIIT and ten from OIT participated in the program.
On the subject of “Real-World Game Programming”, 5 teams of 4 students from both universities developed programs to control a wheel robot with a built-in camera to push down poles in a certain area. On the final day, the teams competed for the number of the fallen poles in a specified time. Following the awards ceremony of the competition, the participants had a speech on their impressions on the iPBL program and their wishes in the future.
SIIT is established in 1992 as a semi-autonomous institute in Thammasat University. Since SIIT and OIT concluded the MOU in 2009, the relationship of the two institutes has been cultivated through implementation of student exchanges and iPBL programs.
