Faculty of Engineering is currently accepting eight students from Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology (TNI). After their arrival on May 7, they took a 2-week Japanese language course in Setsunan University. From May 20, they will participate in a series of workshops on Japanese manufacturing for 2 more weeks under supervision of Dr. Kentaro Minagawa of the Center of Monodzukuri Management, OIT. In addition, they will visit OMRON Communication Plaza and OMRON Kyoto Taiyo Corporation in Kyoto to observe on-site Japanese manufacturing practices.

TNI is a private engineering university established in 2007 in Bangkok, Thailand. OIT concluded a student exchange agreement with TNI in the same year. OIT and Setsunan University have been conducting this joint program for TNI students since 2010.
