On November 22, a delegation from the "MIT-Harvard Global Karate Hub", an organization of instructors and students who practice karatedo at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, George Washington University, Wesley College, University of Connecticut, Cornell University, and Boston University, visited OIT Omiya Campus, as part of an international exchange event organized by the Kansai Student Karatedo Federation, of which OIT Karatedo Club is a member.

In the morning, OIT's kendo, tea ceremony, and calligraphy clubs gave demonstrations and performances, allowing students to experience their respective traditional cultures and wabi-sabi.

In the afternoon, a "MIT Global Special Lecture" was held by Dr. Vazrik Chiloyan, a researcher in nanotechnology at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. About 120 students, faculty, and staff attended the event, where he gave a lecture on his specialized research, how he got started in karate, and the purpose of practicing karate overseas.

The lecture was very meaningful, with many questions and answers from the participating students.
